BioMartha Jones is a rather vivacious young lady who was busy working on her medical degree before she found herself taking a rather abrupt sabbatical to travel with the Doctor.
She is rather unflappable in any situation, relying both on her own intelligence and that of the Doctor to save them and get them out of any trouble that they may encounter as they tour through the galaxy. She is capable of great leaps of faith (putting her trust in the Doctor) but is also able to see when she is being given the run around. Shakespeare himself noted not only her beauty and but also on her intelligence.
Martha has a large and complicated family that she has remained in touch with despite her travels across the universe. Her father and her mother are at each others throats constantly and she is often used to play peacemaker between everyone.
Sassy and occasionally unpredictable, Martha is able to keep up the Doctor's long winded technobabble's and able to aid him in his never-ending run in's with local law enforcements.
In the future, Martha hopes to return to finish her degree and to go on to become a full doctor, but at the moment she is having the time of her life running around and seeing the universe.
